Beyoncé continues to fight for the rights to the “Blue Ivy” moniker. The “Lemonade” singer attempted to trademark the name but was blocked by a wedding planner who holds legal rights to it. Veronica Morales, the owner of Blue Ivy Events, allegedly wants to sell Beyonce her wedding planning business for $10 million in exchange for the “Blue Ivy” trademark.
Shortly after the opposition, Morales and the singer’s legal team set up a meeting to discuss an agreement. Morales, however, took that time to pitch her business to the superstar. According to Beyonce’s team, Morales “gave a long speech” about why the “Halo” singer should partner with her wedding business.
The “Formation” singer obviously gave this offer a definite no and demand that Morales and her legal team turn over all traces of that sales pitch in order to prove that Morales is holding out for money.
