Just when we thought every form of music competition series had been done to death, Netflix has announced plans to launch its first one next year and the streaming service has enlisted some heavy-hitters to find new talent. Chance the Rapper, T.I., and Cardi B have signed on to be the main judges for the upcoming series, Rhythm + Flow that is set to debut in 2019.
Several other artists and industry insiders will participate in the show that is executive produced by John Legend, Jeff Gaspin, Jesse Collins, Nikki Boella, Jeff Pollack, Mike Jackson, and Ty Stiklorius.

The show will attempt to unveil new talents from the hip hop world with contenders vying for a shot at super stardom. Netflix has ordered 10, hour-long episodes and has it slated to premiere next Fall.
We can’t wait to see what kind of advice Cardi B has for the contestants who aren’t too far from where she was a few years back when Love & Hip Hop NY made her a household name and helped launch her incredible music career.

Considering she has gone from underdog to fan favorite, we’re guessing the hip-hop hopefuls have a lot to learn from the bonafide superstar. It’s also hard to imagine what kind of digs she will serve up if she’s not feeling someone’s flow.
Rhythm + Flow is the first reality competition series from Netflix but it’s not the last. The streaming service is also readying the debut of another unscripted competition show, The Final Table, which will likely serve up some competition to shows like Top Chef.
