DMX fails drug test, placed on house arrest
DMX is facing 14 counts of tax evasion, and now, he is on house arrest after reportedly failing four drug tests.
On Friday morning, DMX was already on thin ice with a judge as he showed up 30 minutes late to his bail bond hearing with lawyer Murray Richman.
Although DMX is out on bail for his tax evasion case, one of the conditions of his bail was that he remain drug-free. However, he failed four tests for pot and cocaine.
He also violated the requirement that he refrain from leaving the state without court permission when he flew to St. Louis for a family matter.
Rather than throwing him in jail, however, the judge in his case, according to TMZ, instead put him on house arrest, complete with an ankle bracelet to make sure he doesn’t leave, even to mow his lawn.
