On Wednesday, DMX rang in the Christmas season with a remix of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.”
The remix was released on Spotify and features jingle bells as well as a good hip-hop beat, and of course, it comes complete with “come on, come on,” ad-libs.
The remix was a long time coming, really. Back in 2012, during an interview with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club, DMX busted out a “Rudolph” remix that almost instantly went viral. For the past five years, hip-hop fans have been playing that song on repeat, so much so that the video of that original remix has been viewed over 4 million times since it came out.
So it’s no surprise that DMX has made the “Rudolph” remix a holiday staple.
You can find the new song on the “Spotify Singles: Christmas” playlist.
