When an entertainment website failed to mention Keke Palmer by name, many fans raced to correct it with meme-filled results.
Media news website Insider covered Palmer’s comments about the way society has seemed to affect Kylie Jenner’s perception of herself.
“In the situation with Kylie, where you’ve had a young girl [who] people have seen on television since she was a kid and they literally told her she was so ugly… the ugly person in the family.” Palmer said to Yahoo Beauty when discussing how to remain true to yourself. “She went and did apparently everything the world deems as beautiful. The even crazier part is that everybody loves her for it.”
When Insider tweeted the article, they wrote, “An actress slams Kylie Jenner for not being true to herself and teaching girls the wrong lessons about success.”
Twitter users swiftly swooped in to check them and while Insider removed the tweet as a result of the backlash, the article remains published with the same headline.
