In an interview earlier this month, Halle Berry said she’s never trained for a movie as hard as she did for her upcoming action flick “John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum,” starring Keanu Reeves. The actress also revealed the film got her in the best shape she’s ever been in.
But Berry would wait until another interview to reveal just how tough on her that training had been. She recently admitted to Extra that during production of the movie she was badly injured and director Chad Stahelski had to do without her for a while.
“I broke three ribs when I was rehearsing for ‘John Wick’” she said. “It’s like a badge of honor for me. We don’t know how it happened. I worked for a little while with broken ribs until I could no longer do it. He [Stahelski] waited for me to heal, when I came back I felt better.”
Berry also laid out the other types of training she had besides exercising.
“Hours and hours of stunt training, it’s gun training, it’s dog training, then it’s just strength training on top of that with my trainer, and it’s watching my diet,” she explained.
Besides talking about all she had to do for the “John Wick” film, Berry explained why she’s been sharing all of those proactive photos over the last month or so. Basically, the “Jungle Fever” actress said she’s proud of her chiseled frame and sees nothing wrong with showing it off.
Last month, for example, Berry drove the internet wild by showing her toned abs, and a few days ago she did the same by sharing a bubble bath photo of herself.
And one of the latest posts from Berry that’s getting a lot of attention is a clip of herself walking down the street in New York.
“Out here walking on sunshine ?,” the actress captioned the video.
“I’ve been in love with this woman my whole life ,” one person wrote underneath.
“Marry me,” wrote another.
“John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum” hits theaters on May 17.
