Heart & Soul Talent Showcase Adds Celebrity Guest Judge”
ORLANDO, FL – May 5, 2022 – The Heart & Soul Music Festival and 98.5 the Wire are proud
to announce legendary R&B songstress Meli’sa Morgan as a celebrity guest judge at the 2022
Talent Showcase on May 21. The R&B hitmaker joins a handful of other special guest judges
including VP of Content Playmakers Inc, John Reed, Next Level Radio’s Don Apollo, Empire
Records Executive Waleed Coyote, and Former Program Director of B.E.T and Founder of Rap
Rehab Paul Porter. The inaugural showcase will give local talent the opportunity to show-off
their skills and connect with industry insiders and executives.
Meli’sa Morgan is a force to be reckoned with. With over 30 years in the music industry, Morgan
has worked with some of the greatest talents in music history including Whitney Houston, Chaka
Chan, and Gladys Knight. Her incredible range and soulful voice earned her billboard hits and
timeless classics such as “Do Me, Baby”, “Do You Still Love Me”, “Still in Love with You”,
“Fool’s Paradise”, “Love Changes”, and many more. “We are excited to have powerhouse singer
and songwriter Meli’sa Morgan join our panel of judges and bring her extraordinary talent and
years of expertise and music industry insight,” said Heart & Soul Organizer Paul Billings.
This year’s showcase will feature a variety of contestants vying for a grand prize of $1000. In
addition, the top 3 finalists will open for legendary R&B group The Isley Brothers at the 2022
Heart & Soul Festival on October 8 at the Apopka Amphitheater.
Join Meli’sa Morgan at the Heart & Soul Talent Showcase on Saturday, May 21 at the Bronze
Kingdom Museum; located at 6464 International Drive; Orlando, FL 32819. The Showcase
kicks off with an Industry Mixer from 6:00pm – 7:00pm and the talent competition from 7:00pm
– 9:00pm. Tickets are on sale now for only $25 at Eventbrite. Portions of the proceeds to benefit
the “Free Kids Trip to Africa Program,” an educational and cultural exchange trip to Ghana,
