‘I Love Your Curls’: Loni Love’s Natural Hair Takes Over Her Instagram Feed, Fans Can’t Get Enough

Loni Love has given fans a glimpse of something they’ve never seen on her talk show “The Real.” During the show’s hiatus, the comic revealed her natural hair for the world to see and had fans eating it up.

The last episode of the season aired Tuesday, May 28 and with the daytime talker being over until season 6 debuts in the fall, Love has given her hair and scalp a break from the weaves and wigs she wears on-air.

“hiatushair …,” the talk show host captioned a selfie she posted to Instagram over the weekend.

The comedienne was all smiles as she showed off her naturally curly texture, and fans were delighted with the photo. Many heaped on the praise and hoped to see her rock the look on-air.

“I LOVE your curls Loni!!! You should wear this look more often. So gorgeous ❤️”

“Finally, you go with your bad self!!!??????❤❤??????”

“Stop playing….. u should wear u natural hair, more so often.”

“Loni, I would love to see your own hair on The Real one day. I love your curls and wigs I love your curls. Classy lady Loni Love.”

“Love it. Yes please show us your natural hair curls on The Real.”

“Why you don’t you wear your hair like that on the Real?”

Love has shown off her natural hair before. In honor of co-host Tamera Mowry wearing her curls on-air in 2015, Love posted a selfie of her huge Afro on Instagram.

The next year, Love put her natural hair back in the forefront, although it was in a straightened state at the time.

“#DETOXING has made my hair and skin healthier… #naturalwoman #puttingmyweavebackin,” Love captioned a 2016 selfie she tweeted as she prepped to get her extensions sewn back in.

Still, rocking the natural look has not always been a flood of positivity.

“If you don’t look right on the red carpet, people talk about you,” Loni said in a 2018 “The Real” episode. “We do it to each other in society … what I’m getting to is, maybe we need to stop the red carpets. What is it that’s making us go, ‘You don’t deserve…’.”

Love, who had burst into tears, further wondered if women were to blame for the negativity they face.

“If I was to take off my wig, you guys would laugh at me,” she said tearfully as she addressed the studio audience. “Because it wouldn’t be as beautiful. Maybe we need to readjust how we think about each other.”
