Weeks into the highly buzzed-about season 2 of “Insecure,” creator Issa Rae has something else to celebrate as the hit series has been renewed for a third season.
Rae announced the news on Twitter Tuesday, Aug. 8, and her co-star, Yvonne Orji, posted about it moments later.

The HBO series follows Rae’s character, also named Issa, as she navigates her relationships at work and in her personal life. The show has resonated with viewers as an authentic portrayal of Black female friendship.
