LL Cool J seems to have located the contact information for his former “In The House” co-star Maia Campbell after her apparent — and disturbing — relapse was recently caught on tape.
“Thank you,” said a Monday, July 10, Instagram post a day after LL asked how to get in touch with Campbell, who was videotaped pumping gas and requesting crack last week.
Over the weekend, LL tweeted for fans to lend a helping hand rather than capturing her on video as she behaved erratically.
He also posted an Instagram message, which has since been deleted.
“I want some crack,” the 39-year-old says after showing off her hair and dancing in hot pants and a bra. Rapper T-Hood, who appears in the video that was filmed in the metro Atlanta area, defended the clip in a July 9 Instagram video.
“Just because she was a Black actress from back in the day, who we already all know from Redan, [Ga.]. She been on the block for years … we been knew this b—. She been doing dumb s—.”
This isn’t the first time Campbell has been caught seemingly having a breakdown on camera, but it is the first in several years.
Campbell acted out on the set of her hit NBC sitcom in 1998 and was diagnosed with bipolar disorder soon after. Two years later, the promising actress had a daughter and lost custody of her after not taking her medication. Campbell turned to drugs and has been arrested multiple times, according to The Huffington Post.
“There’s a lot of pain that goes into my story, a lot of issues with my mom,” Campbell said on “Iyanla: Fix My Life” in 2012. “A lot of times when I was out there running the streets that I bumped into the wrong person and they brought me down.”
