Following Meghan Markle’s star-studded baby shower in New York last month, the Duchess of Sussex will reportedly have yet another baby shower at Buckingham Palace.
Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, was noticeably absent from NYC baby shower but insiders say she will likely attend her second on across the pond.
“Doria is coming to a baby shower here. It will be a small gathering of five or six people,” a source told The Daily Mail. The source said Spice Girl Victoria Beckham will also likely attend.

Markle’s New York shower included guests Amal Clooney, Suits co-star Abigail Spencer, Gayle King, Serena Williams and longtime pal Jessica Mulroney. Sister-in-law Kate Middleton was not in attendance, though there is speculation she may attend the Buckingham Palace baby shower.
Markle and Harry will soon move out of Kensington Palace and into Frogmore Cottage in Windsor. With that reportedly comes their own staff, their own offices in Buckingham Palace, their own communications team and their own Instagram and Twitter accounts.
“The Duke of Sussex currently has his own private office, which has been supporting The Duchess since the engagement of Their Royal Highnesses in November 2017,” the royal family’s statement said. “This long-planned move will ensure that permanent support arrangements for The Duke and Duchess’s work are in place as they start their family and move to their official residence at Frogmore Cottage.”

It was recently reported that Meghan and Harry lobbied for an independent new court, but the Queen and Prince Charles were not having it.
“They wanted their household to be entirely independent of Buckingham Palace, but were told ‘no,” a royal source told the Sunday Times. “There is an institutional structure that doesn’t allow that kind of independence. The feeling is that it’s good to have the Sussexes under the jurisdiction of Buckingham Palace, so they can’t just go off and do their own thing.”
Markle and Prince Harry’s first baby is due in late April or early May. The Duchess is currently on maternity leave from official royal engagements.
