Wednesday night The Republican National Committee attempted to rollout President Donald Trump’s “Fake News Awards” – and it was a flop.
Only moments after Trump tweeted out the link with the caption “And the FAKE NEWS winners are…,” the webpage – which is hosted on the RNC’s web site – immediately crashed leaving fans and foes alike confused.

It’s been reported that POTUS created the “awards” in an attempt to control the narrative around his presidency and put a spotlight on what he views as an unfair news media that is biased against him.
“2017 was a year of unrelenting bias, unfair news coverage, and even downright fake news,” the webpage boasted after it finally loaded. “Studies have shown that over 90% of the media’s coverage of President Trump is negative.”
The winners circle for the dubious honors featured examples of media mishaps including those from The New York Times and CNN, which have historically been two of his favorite targets.
Despite some very corrupt and dishonest media coverage, there are many great reporters I respect and lots of GOOD NEWS for the American people to be proud of!
