In the last episode of this year, Saturday Night Live has taken on the President once again and this time they aren’t sparing Omarosa from the Christmas festivities.
In the cold open President Trump, played by Alec Baldwin and the first lady played by Cecily Strong, spent some time trimming their tree while reminiscing about the last year.
-Trump’s greatest year in the history of America…?-
During the skit, Baldwin said his first year in office was “the greatest year in the history of America and maybe the entire Planet Earth,” with Strong remarking, “Rest in peace.”
When Strong’s Melania urged him to be more presidential he responded, “It’s Christmastime. Soon White Santa will be coming from house to house taking presents from Muslims and illegals and giving them to American children.”
Next Baldwin’s president asked some White House aides to decorate the tree with Kate McKinnon’s Kellyanne Conway offering up one with an image of “disgraced F.B.I. director James Comey.” When Baldwin asked her what she wanted for Christmas, McKinnon answered, “I want out.”
Aidy Bryant made an appearance as Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Trump’s White House press secretary, with ornaments with pictures of her predecessors Sean Spicer and Anthony Scaramucci on them stating they were the ones “whose mangled corpses I stepped over to get this job.”
-Of course Mike Pence-
Next up was Beck Bennett’s Mike Pence who apologized for slurring his speech, saying he had drunk too much ginger ale. Then there was an exchange between Trump and Pence that really got the crowd laughing.
Trump asked, “Are you here to deck the halls, Mike?”
Pence responded in the only way Pence really could, “Oh, I don’t like that song because it mentions ‘gay apparel.’”
Leslie Jones played Omarosa Manigault Newman, who recently left her job as a White House aide under questionable circumstances, could be seen outside the window of the Oval Office before being dragged away.
Of course, what Trump skit would be complete without Scarlett Johansson’s Ivanka Trump? She made an appearance with a Christmas ornament of Roy Moore who recently lost his bid for Alabama Senate.
“I thought for sure he would win, until he lost, then I said I always knew he would lose,” Baldwin stated, referring to Moore. “At least America knows that I finally supported an accused child molester.”
Johansson’s Ivanka responded, “As I said, there is a special place in hell and we’re all there.”
-Fired or not fired, still shown the door-
Jones’ Omarosa made another appearance on the show during the Weekend Update segment in which she insisted that she was not fired.
“That’s right, I quit,” she said. “I deactivated my I.D. card. Changed the locks on my own office. I escorted myself off the premises. And then I threw myself into the bushes.”
That was all she managed to get out before a security guard showed up to escort her off the premises again.
“You better take my arm, because I’m escorting you out of the studio,” Omarosa said to the guard. “And you better throw me into the Christmas tree.”
