‘Sorry Fofty’: 50 Cent Suffers Minor Loss to Teairra Mari in Their Ongoing Court Battle

Teairra Mari won’t have to pay 50 Cent a fine on top of the money she already owes him, which could be considered a small victory for the singer.

On Monday a Los Angeles judge denied 50’s request for Mari to pay him a $25,000 fine after he claimed she’s been ducking payment. According to Bossip, 50 also said that he had to spend his own money to locate her.

The rapper and singer have been going at it since last year when Mari sued him for posting a screenshot of a sexually explicit video she was in.

The clip was allegedly shared by her ex Akbar Abdul Ahad, whom she also sued. But a judge threw out the case in January and ordered Mari to pay 50 the $30,618 in legal fees.

Last month, the “In Da Club” rapper filed a motion for the $25,000 fine and also alleged that Mari isn’t being honest about her current finances. Plus he claimed the singer is hiding $100,000 that she made on her last season of “Love & Hip-Hop just to avoid payment.

Monday’s ruling is the latest chapter in the saga between the reality star and G-Unit leader. Because since Mari’s suit was thrown out, 50 has been taunting her on social media, and Mari said she wouldn’t pay him.

She’s also created T-shirts that say “I Ain’t Got It” and released a song with the same name.

In May, the Detroit native explained why she hasn’t backed down from 50 and blamed him for things getting so ugly.

“He tickles me. He’s very hilarious. He’s actually been bringing out some of my funny side,” she said on “The Breakfast Club.” “I’m gonna play the petty games ’cause at first I wasn’t. I let him drag me for at least a month. And then I’m like, ‘You know what? F–k you.’”

The Queens rapper has also accused Rotimi, Jackie Long and producer Russell Emmitt of owing him money. What came out of 50’s feud with Emmitt, who co-produced Power, was a new nickname for the artist.

In a text exchange that 50 posted and deleted on Instagram, Emmitt misspelled 50 Cent’s name, and wrote Fofty instead.

“I said I’m sorry fofty,” he wrote.

Since then the rapper has made shirts with the words Fofty imprinted on them.
