Steve Bannon certainly has a flair for the dramatic. At this year’s Value Voters Summit he claimed that Trump would not only finish out his first term in office but also go on to win a second term with 400 electoral college votes.
“President Trump’s not only going to finish this term, he’s going to win with 400 electoral votes in 2020,” Bannon said to the conservative audience in Washington DC.
This is in direct conflict with what Vanity Fair reported him saying. They said that two sources told them that Bannon thought Trump had no more than a 30 percent chance to finish out his first term.

Bannon also said that “right now it’s a season of war against a GOP establishment.”
His main goal is to get rid of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and he says that on Capitol Hill, “it’s like before the Ides of March.”
“They’re just looking to find out who is going to be Brutus to your Julius Caesar,” Bannon stated, as though he was speaking directly to McConnell.
“We’ve cut your oxygen off, Mitch,” Bannon claimed in relation to donor funding drying up for establishment candidates.
Sebastian Gorka also spoke at the Summit and stated firmly, “The left has no idea how much more damage we can do to them as private citizens, as people unfettered by being part of the U.S. government.”
