Suge Knight might be behind bars but he isn’t going to go quietly into the dark night. In his latest plea for attention, the former Death Row Records owner is claiming that Dr. Dre attempted to have him killed.
According to legal documents, Suge says a man named Dwayne Johnson showed him the check for $20,000 that Dre signed in July 2016. He says the payment was the fee for the hit and the date of his death was supposed to be the same day he hit and killed Terry Carter with his car.
Suge says that Johnson flipped on Dr. Dre and both Suge and Johnson met with a private investigator. This is his reasoning as to why he ran over Carter, he was scared for his life at the time. Or so he says.
Suge does a lot of talking and it has been drawing some attention lately. He seems to think that Tupac is still alive for example.
“When I left that hospital, me and ‘Pac was laughing and joking. So I don’t see how somebody could turn from doing well to doing bad,” he said during an interview seen on Who Shot Biggie & Tupac. “I’ma tell you, with ‘Pac, you never know,” he said.
He also has said that it was him that was the target that night, not Tupac.
