Tameka “Tiny” Harris took to Instagram this week to praise husband T.I. for making her Valentine’s Day extra special despite being faced with a family tragedy.
Harris, a member of 90’s girl group Xscape, shared video of the moment her husband of nine years surprised her with a brand-spankin’ new diamond ring, which he hid among a display of bright red roses. The reality star could hardly contain her excitement.
However, the impressive 12-carat rock also came amid sad news that Harris’ sister-in-law, Precious Harris, is currently in the hospital fighting for her life.
“After a long hard day of shedding tears about our sister, my thoughtful husband still found away to make me shed more tears but of joy this time!!,” she wrote. “I was truly shocked & overjoyed! I can’t thank him enough for going out of his way on such a sad day for him as well! I love you forever & then some @troubleman31. The worst & best Valentine’s Day Ever!”
Harris also asked fans to keep the family lifted in prayer during this difficult time. The details surrounding her sister’s hospitalization remain unclear, but Harris insisted that Precious is a warrior and will push through.
“Anybody that really knows me knows how special & how much I cherish & love this lady, my sister @preciousharris1913,” she wrote in an Instagram post. “Pls pray for my sister & family. She’s a true fighter…always have been & God has the last word… ”
Plenty of fans have since flooded the family with messages of love and support.
“God is asking that you take care of Ms. Precious as she is an angel much needed & loved by all her family,” one fan commented. “Please cover her father and let her healing begin amen Prayers for healing and restoration of good health in Jesus Holy Name .”
“It’s always good for someone to put a smile on your face when going through something,” another fan wrote, referring to T.I.’s Valentine’s Day gift. “I’ll continue to pray for you and your family. But by prayer your sister is going to fine.”
“Great job @troubleman31,” another added. “Love you both and will keep our sister precious in prayer ❤️.”
Precious’ daughter, Kamaya, also took to social media this week, telling her followers, “This is her daughter. “Please continue to pray for her as she continues to fight WE will get through this thanks so much everybody.”
