Angela Simmons, the daughter of DJ Rev Run, switched up her attire for the spring, leaving fans head over heels with her trendy style.
With spring in session, Simmons seems to be playing around with her wardrobe by adding a pop of color to ensembles. She took to Instagram on Wednesday with an image of herself modeling in a few Fashion Nova garments. She sported a white lace bodysuit, brown high-waist skinny pants and an orange-and-black duster to complete her outfit. She paired it with mauve strapped, spiked heels.
The “Growing Up Hip Hop” star also rocked a high, side ponytail and went for her signature wing-liner and nude lip. She wrote in her caption, “Still standing ??.”
Simmons’ in-season style received a mass of compliments.
“Ya Always Get It Right Queen??????? that’s a bad mama jama!”
“Dam you look like bae ??? that girl baaaad! i
love this woman.”
“This Is Why I Love Her; in a class by herself ? love her style.”
“Finally a spring look I can rock say what you want about @angelasimmons but she can dress ?.”
Other fans weren’t feeling Simmons’ outfit as much.
“No, so not you! Makes you look older ??.”
“Too many colors going on u look like u standin outside jail or goin to it ?.”
The 31-year-old mother got her start into the fashion industry during her teen years. She and her sister Vanessa Simmons created the shoe line “Pastry” in 2007, which consisted of bold and colorful patterns. Although their shoe collection was quite successful, Angela parted ways with the company a few years ago and began working on her solo fashion line.
During New York Fashion Week in September 2018, the 31-year-old mother presented her new womenswear line Bonnie Bouche in collaboration with COOGI. The line launched this spring.
According to Angela, the Bonnie Bouche collection was created to empower women to embrace their body while admiring the uniqueness of others.
“I am so excited to announce the launch of Bonnie Bouche which for me represents power, femininity, and inclusiveness,” she wrote on her brand’s website. “I hope this collection will inspire young women to feel confident and powerful in their wardrobe so that they can concentrate on conquering their goals.”
