Rumor has it that “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” favorite bad girl Tommie Lee will no longer be appearing on the show and will be replaced by “Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood” actress Moniece Slaughter.
It was previously reported in January that Lee will not appear on season 8 of “LHHATL” after she confirmed to fans that she quit the show. However, other reports speculated she was fired from the series after news broke of her child abuse charges. Producers have neither confirmed or denied Lee’s alleged termination.
Now the Jasmine Brand reports that its unnamed source says Lee’s spot will be taken by “LHHH” co-star Slaughter, who also appeared on the New York franchise and will be a part of season 8’s cast. She’s also allegedly dating Lee’s ex-boyfriend Scrapp DeLeon, who was recently released from prison after going away in 2016 for drug-related charges. Slaughter and DeLeon’s relationship will allegedly air on “LHHATL” for viewers to see.
Weeks before Slaughter was rumored to replace Lee, the 34-year-old said in early January that she quit the VH1 series.
“I loved my old job but I no longer work with them,” Lee wrote on her Instagram Story on Jan. 2 after fans asked if her recent legal disputes would affect her job.
One person asked Lee to clarify what she meant. “Did that story mean you quit LHH???” the fan asked.
The reality star confirmed that she was saying she had quit the VH1 series by replying, “#Facts.” She also added that she was moving on to “bigger” opportunities.
Lee exited season 7 of “LHHATL” on shaky grounds after being put on blast for her excessive drinking. At one point, she was prevented from filming due to her violent outbursts.
During the hiatus of the show, she was arrested for multiple child abuse charges, including aggravated assault, simple battery, first-degree child cruelty and disruption of public schools. She was eventually released from jail in December after spending two months behind bars for allegedly pushing her middle school-aged daughter’s head into a metal locker at her school. She’s currently facing 54 years in the slammer after being indicted on multiple child abuse charges.
