Not surprisingly, Donald Trump Jr.’s appearance on ABC’s The View was explosive, but perhaps one of the most shocking moments of the face-off was when he accused host Joy Behar of having worn blackface.
According to Fox News, on Thursday, Trump appeared on the daytime talk show to promote his new book Triggered: How the Left Thrives on Hate and Wants to Silence Us.

When Behar began to rattle off an extensive list of all the missteps and scandals President Trump has found himself embroiled in, Trump Jr., jumped to his father’s defense.
“We’ve all done things that we regret. Joy, you have worn blackface,” Trump Jr., said during the visibly tense segment. “Whoopi, you said that Roman Polanski… it wasn’t ‘rape-rape,’ when he raped a child.”
“Now that you’ve broken this piece of ice, because I guess it is the fight you wanted…are you questioning my character,” an agitated Goldberg asked.
“I’m not questioning your character. I’m talking about, you’re questioning my father’s character and I say we all have done and said things,” Trump Jr.
While Behar jumped vehemently denied wearing blackface, Trump Jr. later tweeted a 2016 clip showing Behar discussing dressing as an African woman for Halloween when she was younger.

While co-host Goldberg came to Behar’s defense and said that as a Black woman she of all people knows what blackface is, after the show Trump Jr., also tweeted out a link to an article featuring her problematic quotes about Polanski.
“I know it wasn’t rape-rape,” the actress reportedly said of the director who plead guilty to sleeping with a 13-year-old girl who says she was plied with champagne and drugs. “I think it was something else, but I don’t believe it was rape-rape.”
