Following a tour of the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C., to recognize Black History Month, President Donald Trump took time out to praise Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s niece for saying nice things about him on Fox News.
After looking at MLK’s exhibit, Trump thanked Alveda King for her kind words and constant praise of the newly elected president despite facing criticism for her support.
“I want to profoundly thank Alveda King,” Trump says. “She is a tremendous fighter for justice. You are so incredible. And I want to thank you for all the nice things you say about me.”

Trump also commented on the recent string of bomb threats made to 10 Jewish community centers in Alabama, Ohio, Illinois, Texas and New York. At this time, the threats appear to be hoaxes, NBC News reported, but the FBI is currently conducting investigations.
“Anti-Semitism is horrible, and it’s gonna stop and it has to stop,” Trump tells NBC News in an exclusive interview after the tour. “I think it’s terrible. I think it’s horrible. Whether it’s anti-Semitism or racism or any — anything you wanna think about having to do with the divide. Anti-Semitism is, likewise, it’s just terrible.”

Social media users believe Trump’s visit was just another opportunity for him to make an event about himself instead of celebrating the great contributions of Black people in America. As per usual, users on Twitter and Facebook skewered him, brought up the feud with Rep. John Lewis and called out Trump’s alleged narcissism.
