Viola Davis felt a little nostalgic and shared a throwback of an old photo shoot, and fans went into a frenzy about her beauty. Thursday, Davis posted a picture to her Instagram of a photo shoot she did back in the day with Oprah Magazine. In the photo, Davis exhibits her stunningly clear dark skin with a body-hugging black dress. The caption of her photos said, “One of my first photoshoots. #TBT ?@oprahmagazine.”
Fans showered the award-winning actress with praises and admiration about her beauty.
“god is a woman”
“Wow! @violadavis you put that camera to #werk!!”
“Damn I love this woman ????????”
“Classic and classy. Very much an old Hollywood picture”
More fans commented on her flawless skin.
“Our black is beautiful!”
“What a beautiful black queen you are !”
“black is beautiful”
Although Davis is all glamorous now, she does have a few regrets. The actress recently told the New York Times that she regretted starring in the hit “The Help.” She said, “A better question is, have I ever done roles that I’ve regretted. … I have, and The Help is on that list.”
Davis felt the movie did not accurately portray the fear the Black people felt in the 1960s, during racial segregation. “I just felt that at the end of the day that it wasn’t the voices of the maids that were heard.
If you do a movie where the whole premise is, I want to know what it feels like to work for white people and to bring up children in 1963, I want to hear how you really feel about it,” she said. “I never heard that in the course of the movie.”
